Origins of American Animation 21 Complete Classics (1900-1921)

This collection showcases the best of the Library of Congress's animated cartoons from the first decades of the last century, an era full of surprises and experimentation. Among the 21 complete films (and two fragments) are samples of early live-action animation from J. Stuart Blackton (THE ENCHANTED DRAWING, HUMOROUS PHASES OF FUNNY FACES), oddball lovelorn angst from George Herriman's 'KRAZY KAT', immigrant family shenanigans from 'THE KATZENJAMMER KIDS' and pranks from 'BOBBY BUMPS' and Tom Powers' 'PHABLES' series satirize pre-World War I domestic life.
