How long can I keep the videos?

You can view the videos for a full 15 days from the day you receive your shipment.

Can I create a list of programs I want to rent in the future?

Yes, you can. Simply add items to your wish list by clicking on the "Save" button for each video you wish to add. You can add as many programs as you like, make notes, arrange your list in the order you want, and add them to your cart when you are ready to rent them. You must be a registered member in order to use the wish list.

How do I return the items?

It's easy! Just put your videos into the original shipment box; apply the free shipping label, and let the U.S. Postal Service return them to us!

How many rental items can I rent at one time?

You can rent as many items as you want at one time. Not only does this allow you to make the most of your education dollars, but it permits you the flexibility to rent items that cover several different subjects or to explore one subject in-depth with several rental items. Advantage reserves the right to limit quantities (see Terms of Use and Policies for more information).

What happens if I lose my video or it gets damaged?

Please call 800/745-5480 immediately and a customer service representative will handle your claim.

What do I do if I forget my user name?

Please call 800/745-5480 and a customer service representative will be happy to assist you.

What do I do if I forget my password?

If you forget your password, click on the Log In button. Then, click on the Forgot your password button. Type in your user ID /email address and click on the email the password button. The password will be sent to your email address.

What if my rental item doesn’t work?

If you receive a defective item, please call 800/745-5480 immediately and a customer service representative will arrange to have a replacement item sent to you.  

What if I can’t find the subject I am looking for?

Our goal is to provide an educational multimedia library that works for you. We encourage all our members to send us their requests via email at actadvantage@act.org or by calling 800/745-5480.

What if I move?

You can update your customer information online anytime or by calling 800/745-5480, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (CST).

Is your website secure?

Security is our number one concern. To safeguard your credit card information, we use Verisign technology, the most advanced online ordering security system available. Verisign SSL encrypts all information related to your order so none of that information can be read in transit by an unauthorized third party.

Is my personal information secure?

Absolutely! We are committed to safeguarding your privacy. The information we collect about you is used exclusively to process orders and to provide a more efficient rental experience.

Will you share or sell my personal account information?

Advantage will not share, sell, trade, or rent your personal information to any third party without your consent. Your personal information collected by Advantage will be used to process your orders and inform you of new products and services. For your added safety, do not share your user name or password with anyone.

What if the item I want is not in stock?

Your requested item will be placed on backorder. When the item becomes available, it will automatically be shipped to you.

How do I find the item I need?

Our online library allows you to search by keyword, category, grade level, format, and/or producer. Don't forget to check out our Featured Programs and New Releases.

How do I know this item is appropriate for my child?

Each item description will provide an appropriate age range. This permits you to select the most suitable items for your child.

What happens if my order doesn’t arrive?

If after 10 business days (Sundays not included) from placing your order the package has not arrived, please call customer service at 800/745-5480 and we will attempt to track your package. If we are unable to locate the package, we will send you a replacement shipment. If the original shipment arrives in addition to the replacement, please send one of the shipments back as soon as possible.

What happens if I return the order and it never arrives?

When you return the videos or DVDs and they arrive back, we will send you an email to confirm we have received them. If you do not get an email within 10 days of mailing them, please call customer service at 800/745-5480.

How much is shipping?

Both delivery and return shipping are absolutely free.

How long does shipping take?

Shipping times range from 2 days to 9 days Monday–Saturday, with the average time being 4 to 5 days.

What if I want to keep the items for more than 15 days?

You are welcome to keep the items for an additional 15 days; just go online to extend your rental. Log in and go to the My Account screen. Click on the Renew Item button for the items you wish to keep.

What if I don’t have a credit card?

A credit card is required to join. We accept American Express, Discover/Novus, MasterCard and VISA.

How much is each rental?

Your first item is $7 and additional items are only $4 each. These great prices include FREE SHIPPING! We accept American Express, Discover/Novus, MasterCard and VISA.

Are DVD, VHS, CD-ROM, and Audio CDs the same rental price?

Yes; this allows you the flexibility to order according to your individual needs.  

Do I have to pay taxes on items?

No, not at this time.

Do I need access to the Internet and an email address?

Yes; you need Internet access for online ordering. We will use email to send communications about your order.
